The Descendants by Destiny Hawkins in a fantastic read that will leave you hooked straight from the beginning. It's vivid and beautiful world mixed with its great magic system and unforgettable character progression leave it feeling fresh and original. Rayah and Soren mesh very well together and form a bond the likes i haven't seen in a fantasy novel in quite some time. Rayah is a very strong female protagonist (I'm not very accustomed to reading fantasy with a strong female lead). If you love action, fantasy, magic, and tragedy then this book is for you.
